When my husband asked me if my associate and I could go visit his family, I agreed… My friend and I only live two & a half hours away, so I assumed my associate and I would drive up for the afternoon, then however, as my associate and I were talking about how my associate and I were going to spend our time when my associate and I decided to go to visit, I realized that my husband intended on staying the entire weekend, which meant that we’d have to stay the evening, and normally, I wouldn’t have cared about sleeping anywhere else, however his family always kept their household so cold.
The temperature control settings were sporadically different, however always hovering around 77 degrees & 77 degrees & to me, this was freezing! The guest dining room had two air vents on the wall, & they hit the bed directly.
I personally didn’t guess there were enough blankets on the bed to keep warm. There was one sheet & a thin quilt. I never slept well at my husband’s family’s household because it was too cold. I always spent the evening shivering or trying to find a spare blanket. I’m not someone who fluctuations other people’s temperature control settings, because it’s unquestionably personal & I wouldn’t want someone doing it for me. This is why I had to get creative. I packed a few pairs of fuzzy socks, sweatpants, & thick sweatshirts. I even packed a hat just in case I couldn’t get hot with the other cozy items, then before I went to bed, I layed up & snuggled into bed, but for the first time, I absolutely slept in that freezing house!
