I spent an eternity looking at houses and trying to purchase one that was best for me.
With the deranged housing market, there was a plethora of houses to choose from, although I was competing with dozens of other clients for each house, however during the process, I learned a lot about what was important to me, but in the beginning, I didn’t think that I cared about the Heating and A/C system, however the more I toured houses, the more I realized how important it was to find something that had a reliable, well cared for Heating and A/C system! SInce I would be spending a lot of currency on a downpayment and maybe a few cosmetic renovations, my realtor commanded me to look at homes that didn’t have any large appliance concerns.
This included things like washer and dryers, kitchen appliances, and boilers and A/C units. I took what he said to heart and I stopped looking at houses that had window A/C units and ductless mini split systems, because I knew I wouldn’t love residing in a home with those A/C options. I’d always used central AC, and I wanted to continue that without having to spend thousands of dollars to get it. A lot of the houses I’d toured in the beginning only had the window A/C units and ductless systems, so I was thankful that my offers on those never got accepted. The home hunting took longer, however I’m so glad I waited and ended up with a home that already had a charming Heating and A/C system.
