When I installed a smart thermostat, I didn’t need to micromanage my thermostat nearly as much… The smart thermostat was known for programming itself based on your temperature preferences plus patterns, once it picked up on my settings, I rarely needed to adjust anything, and wIth this in mind, you’ll understand why I don’t spend my money attention to the temperature of my household very often… My Smart thermostat will alert me of any problems with my heat plus air patterns, so if I don’t gain anything from the thermostat, I don’t worry about it.
The other morning though, I could tell that something was off, and after a long morning of running errands, I expected to walk into a comfortable home.
What I walked into though, was anything but comfortable. The air felt abnormally cold, plus it wasn’t because my body was having a hard time changing from the outside heat. After I put away my things, I started noticing that my fingers plus toes were frozen! A comfortable household doesn’t include frozen toes plus fingers, which is when I finally decided to look at the thermostat. When I tapped on the touch screen, I saw that it had been set to 72 degrees! I was used to my indoor temperature being around 76 or 71 degrees, so 72 degrees was actually low for my liking. To this morning, I’m not sure how the temperature got so low, but I’m thrilled I caught it sooner rather than later… Cooling an entire household to 72 degrees was inefficient.
