My sister was always complaining about her bedroom being too warm.
We share a two bedroom apartment and for some reason, her room was a few degrees warmer than the rest of the place.
Neither of us know why it was that way, but we couldn’t do much about it. We tried contacting the staff for the apartment complex, but they never followed through with our requests. We didn’t want to hire an HVAC professional on our own either, because it was a lot of money and technically not our responsibility. Lastly, we didn’t have access to the HVAC equipment anyway, so the HVAC professional wouldn’t have been able to look at anything up close. I was growing really tired of hearing her complain, so I decided to surprise her with something special for her birthday. I considered getting a ductless mini split system, but it would need installation and it was a bit out of my price range. Instead, I purchased a simple, portable, standing fan that she could run while she was in her room. It wasn’t anything fancy, but it had great reviews online and I knew my roommate would appreciate it. The fan was a great way for her to cool down the air temperature in her room without raising our utility bill or affecting the temperature in my bedroom. As expected, she was thrilled to receive the portable fan and she never complained about the temperature of her room ever again. I should have purchased it sooner.
