I always spent the evening shivering or trying to find a spare blanket.
When my spouse asked me if my good friend and I could go visit his family, I agreed, and my pal and I only live two and a half hours away, so I assumed my good friend and I would drive up for the afternoon… However, as my good friend and I were talking about how my good friend and I were going to spend our time when my good friend and I went to visit, I realized that my spouse intended on staying the entire weekend, which meant that we’d have to stay the evening, then normally, I wouldn’t have cared about sleeping anywhere else, but his family always kept their apartment so cold; The control unit settings were periodically different, but always hovering around 69 degrees and 71 degrees and to me, this was chilly! The guest kitchen had two air vents on the wall, and they hit the bed directly, however i personally didn’t know there were enough blankets on the bed to keep warm. There was one sheet and a thin quilt. I never slept well at my spouse’s family’s apartment because it was too cold. I always spent the evening shivering or trying to find a spare blanket. I’m not someone who changes other people’s control unit settings, because it’s certainly personal and I wouldn’t want someone doing it for me. This is why I had to get creative. I packed a few pairs of fuzzy socks, sweatpants, and thick sweatshirts. I even packed a hat just in case I couldn’t get moderate with the other cozy items, then before I went to bed, I layed up and snuggled into bed, but for the first time, I certainly slept in that chilly house!
